The next Republican Presidential Debate will take place this Thursday, March 3.
The five remaining GOP candidates set to appear are Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Ben Carson and John Kasich.
The debate will be hosted by Fox News in Detroit, Mich. just two days after Super Tuesday and five days before the state’s primary elections.
In order to win the Republican nomination, 1,237 delegates are needed. According to the Associated Press, Trump is leading the race with 319 delegates. Cruz has 226 delegates, Rubio 110, Kasich 25 and Carson 8.
Donald Trump’s success has come as a surprise to many. When he announced his run for office last June, a number of people did not take him seriously.
Junior Ashley Rodriguez is one of those people. “He came out of nowhere,” she said. “But, he’s been consistently on top. Whether we like it or not, there’s a very good chance that Trump might win this.”
Thursday’s debate will be moderated by Special Report Anchor Bret Baier, The Kelly Files Anchor Megyn Kelly and FOX News Sunday Host Chris Wallace.
The network announced the criteria for the debate will be released as the event approaches.
The two-hour debate will begin at 9 p.m. ET on Fox News Channel. It will also be available for streaming on Fox News Radio, Fox News Mobile and FoxNews.com.
