Chris Mullin was named to the Silver Anniversary All-Big EastTeam by ESPN last week.
Celebrating its 25 years of service to the sports world, ESPNannounced last week that they have selected an All-League team ineach major NCAA Division I men’s basketball conference dating backto 1978.
Mullin, who is the all-time leading scorer in SJU history with2,440 points, joined Pearl Washington and Derrick Coleman (SyracuseUniversity), Patrick Ewing (Georgetown University) and Ray Allen(University of Connecticut) as the ESPN All-Big East SilverAnniversary Team.
Mullin, Ewing and Allen were all former National Player of theYear recipients.
After St. John’s, the star guard continued his excellent play inthe NBA with stints at Golden State and Indiana. He currently worksin the front office with the Warriors, assisting the generalmanager in the area of player personnel.
